I did this layout for The Paper Element, using their Orchard Collection. I used the Blueberries, Orange Juice, Apple Juice and Spice Cranberry pattern papers, as well as the coordinating rub-ons and die-cut cardstock sticker. The Paper Element has some of the cutest die-cut stickers with the quirkiest quotes on them. I thought this one I used was a hoot with the photograph. :)

Here's one I did for Creative Scrappers using the latest October Afternoon Daydreams collection. Also tried out a couple of my new toys - glimmer mist on the chipboard bookplate and my cropadile big bite on the grommets. :) Always fun to play with new scrappy supplies.

This is my second layout for Laines this month. The challenge was to use the same set of pattern papers to create two different-looking layouts. I chose Luxe's new Capris collection.
To set off the contrast against my first layout, which featured recycled products and a more organic feel, I went with clean lines and paper piecing for this second layout. My first layout is in the post just before this one.
I used the same set of pattern papers, but this time created flowers using the Cilantro and Chives pp, which I then stickled and curled for a 3D effect. The leaves from the Basil pp which featured so prominently in the first layout are now used as fillers as are the flowers from Oregano. I also created my own die-cut and emboss butterflies, and used Technique Tuesday stamps for the flutter-by trails.
This month, my project for Laines was to create two different layouts using the same pattern papers. I chose Luxe's new Capris collection.
For this first layout, I decided to go for an organic feel, using recycled products and lots of tearing and inking. Looking at the Basil pp, my first instinct was to create a tree and so I drew and cut out a tree trunk from recycled cardboard backing paper which I painted. Continuing with the recycled look, I got hold of some corrugated cardboard, which I tore and painted in shades of sky blue and green to complement the colours of the Luxe pp. To complete the look, I tore up strips of pattern paper and inked them to create a collage background to the layout. I also created my own little epoxy frame for the subtitle by cutting out and utee'ing a shape from the Chives pattern paper.
My second layout will be in my next post.

Here's a layout I did using The Paper Element's Orchard collection. I used Orange Juice, Apple Juice and Spice Cranberry pattern papers from the collection, cutting out the snowflakes from the pattern paper and stickling them for that winter touch.

Here's another layout I did using The Paper Element's Fruits Collection. I love the rich ruby reds and emerald greens in this collection, which complement the colours in the photo rather well. Pattern papers used are Strawberry, Lime, Rhubarb and Cherry. Also used a coordinated fun die cut cardstock from the same collection.

This is the first Design Team layout I've created for The Paper Element using their Fruits Collection. I used two of the pattern papers (Strawberry and Raspberry) from the collection and coordinating cardstock sticker and rub-ons.
One thing I must say, the pattern paper was of a delicious heavyweight, so nice and thick. I love working with substantial paper. And the papers are double-sided, with a solid coordinating colour on the back which were really lovely. And another plus point for me was each pattern paper came with suggestions on coordinating Bazzill cardstock colours. Takes the guess work out of matching cardstocks to the pattern paper. :)
Am going to be creating a couple more layouts from this collection in the coming days.

This is my layout for Creative Scrappers using a great sketch by Tessa Ann Watte.
I love this series of photos which captures the fun my DD and DH were having on the spinning teacups at Hongkong Disneyland. My daughter's main objective was to leave us completely disoriented and she very nearly succeeds every time. I of course was trying my best to take steady shots while the rest of the world went spinning by. :)
All pattern papers are from various collections from Making Memories; as are all brads and rick-rack. Flowers are from Prima and Making Memories, bling from Prima. I die cut, embossed and stickled the butterflies.
Did this for a challenge at Scrapmojo. The challenge was to use Martha Stewart's signature phrase "It's a good thing" on the layout as well as a stamp. Think Martha Stewart and I think baking and cupcakes! So here are some photos of my DD and her friends decorating her home-made birthday cupcakes and having lots of fun with it. :)
The cupcake and flower pattern papers are from an old Junkitz Celebration collection, the cupcake stamp is from Imaginisce, alphas are from AC's new LAX and Shoebox range. I also added some sequins for fun.

I love this photo, the sheer joy and movement captured. I picked up on the pink in the photo and thought Basic Grey's Sultry and Sugared lines worked really well together. Used Basic Grey's chipboards and Prima flowers to embellish, and my new Cuttlebug die-cut-and-emboss butterfly. Love that! :) This layout is featured on Basic Grey's Idea Gallery.

This week started with some good news.
My Baker Street layout was selected as one of the winning layouts at Pub Calls. There were entries from some talented scrappers so it was a real thrill to be picked.
My Unconditional Love layout won the Mother May I contest at Magistical Memories. That's one of my favourite layouts of the moment.
My Daughter, Friend layout won the Shape It Up challenge. Another of my favourite layouts.
And more exciting news came in the form of an email. Will share that later. Thanks for dropping by. :)
